Job Description
- Full spectrum of accounting includes Periodical Financial Close Process, General Ledger, Account Payable, Bank, etc. and to ensure quality of accounting data.
- To maintain proper accounting records and filing system.
- Manages company’s forecast and budget.
- To assist in ensuring improvement in accounting systems and processes.
- Analyses and recommends SOP and seeks areas of improvements.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all control requirements are meet on timely basis.
- Responsibilities include closing of monthly accounts and submissions of reports on a timely manner,
- Reconcile bank statements, perform intercompany and accounts reconciliations, highlight issues and follow up on reconciling items or outstanding matters
- Prepare and review Financial Accounting reports and reconciliations, provide variance analysis, highlight issues/concerns and follow up on reconciling items or outstanding matters
- Assist with preparation of year end schedules and liaise with external auditors, tax agent for audit and tax matters, bankers, company secretary, regulatory authorities when needed
- To undertake ad-hoc assignments or duties assigned by management when required
- Handle daily operation matters.
What we are looking for
- Possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
- At least 3 years working experience in full sets of accounts or audit experience. Banking and Finance will be added advantage.
- Good proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, IF Functions, etc) and other Microsoft Office Program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (Ability to speak Mandarin will be an added advantage due to the business nature needed).
